"The Keeper"?

I've sent my Ucalegon suggestion in.

I'll go through the thread and make a list of the words that have been suggested.

O.K, here are the results, my apologies to LibriFoxy and Hilara.

Annies;a fossil plant-eating lizard
Chelsea;A shape, such as an outline, of a flower. Guessed by Hazel, Annies
Ruth:A virus-like particle that occurs in certain freshwater ciliates Guessed by Nadine
True:A neighbor whose house is on fire
Hazel:A de-calcifying agent
Hilara:A Trojan in the Aeneid
Nadine:Archaic African music instrument, ancestor to the ukulele. Guessed by Sadclown
Peter Why:A large cycle of linked myths
Librifoxy:A person who lives on the financial support or charity of others. Guessed by Chelsea,
Sadclown;A region of ancient Macedonia Guessed by Peter Why, Ruth

Scores this round: (Cumulative scores in brackets)

LibriFoxy - 1 (8)
Hazel Pethig - 0 (9)
Chelsea - 2 (10)
Hilara - 0 (4)
annise - 0 (18)
sadclown - 2 (4)
RuthieG - 1 (11)
Wellshum - 0
7achoura - 0
catchpenny - 3 (3)
neckertb - 1(1)
Peter Why - 0 (0)

Hilara was correct with her definition of a Trojan in the Aeneid, but his name has come to mean a neighbor, whose house is on fire. (Sorry, Ruth. I puzzled over how to spell it properly for ten minutes, Then said the heck with it and posted it. I should know these things!) It's such a great word; so useful in everyday conversation!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ucalegon Laughing I suppose it is Nadine's turn now.

Geez, I'm sorry! My father in law died three days ago and I forgot to check this thread (I did update the others though). And no, it is not a lame excuse., but the truth, and we will miss him a lot.
But here we go:

I think I'll take a break from Balderdash for a while, as there are plenty of people to play now. Smile So just leave me out for now.

You should play on the rounds where you don't know the word! Since you seem to know so, so many! Very Happy

Hey

I'm missing two answers, and then i'll post the definitions. Hopefully tomorrow morning, although this is depending a lot on where you are, for me it is evening now.
Oh yeah, I just read the beginning of the thread and some pms have apparently gone lost before, so the two I am missing (besides WellShum, 7achoura, and RuthieG) are sadclown and LibriFoxy

ENGASTRATION

1. Distress of the bowels
2. The act of stuffing one bird into another
3. Eating
4. To insert into the stomach
5. An incision into the stomach to enable food to bypass a blocked oesophagus
6. Swallowing
7. A surgical procedure involving the stomach

Have fun Twisted Evil

I'll be at a funeral tomorrow, so I hope Hilara will forgive me for not waiting for her vote...

Chelsea:1. Distress of the bowels
RIGHT: 2. The act of stuffing one bird into another (guessed by catchpenny, Anne and Hazel)
Peter:3. Eating
Hazel: 4. To insert into the stomach (guessed by Chelsea)
Annise: 5. An incision into the stomach to enable food to bypass a blocked oesophagus (guessed by Peter)
catchpenny: 6. Swallowing
Hilara: 7. A surgical procedure involving the stomach

So I think that makes:
LibriFoxy - 0 (8)
Hazel Pethig - 3 (12)
Chelsea - 0 (10)
Hilara - 0 (4)
annise - 3 (21)
sadclown - 0 (4)
RuthieG - 0 (11)
Wellshum - 0
7achoura - 0
catchpenny - 2 (5)
neckertb -0(1)
Peter Why - 0 (0)

See you soon!
