Just to let you know that I shall be away for a few days, returning on 3rd November. I don't anticipate any problems, but I'm sure you'll be able to get help from any admin if necessary. See you later ... _________________ Chris Ursus perpauli cerebri sum (translated here) |

Hello.
I would like to claim the part of "Second Huntsman" - 24. This is my first recording, so please forgive any beginner's blundering. In between my parts, I just leave a silence of a couple of seconds right? Sorry if I sound silly, but I don't want to mess it up. I would like to be listed as Katalina Watt.
Thank you. _________________ KATxProcrastinate

Great, thanks! Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording! Yes you would just live a few seconds of silence between lines. Since this part only has two lines, you can submit this as a test recording, then if everything looks/sounds good, then you can start recording more for Librivox! It's November Cleaning Month!
"To be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, all unrecorded sections that were claimed more than 2 months ago will be orphaned on November 7th unless the claimants post in this thread before then to reclaim the section."
Unless you've already submitted files for your part. _________________ Jennifer |

These were posted three days ago, but have not shown up as completed or in need of proof-listening. Please don't re-assign the lines ... it was a lot of work learning about this character to get it right!

Don't worry Denny, I won't be re-assigning any lines of people who have submitted at least one line!! I thought I had updated the MW days ago, but I guess I did not, will do so now, thanks! _________________ Jennifer |

The specifications and volume are great. There is a lot of background noise however. It will be fine for this project, but before you go on to record other works, you might want to work on that. Let me know if you need any help figuring this out! Thanks for your submission. _________________ Jennifer |

I would like to apply for the part (1 A Lord) if you don't mind.
Does this part need to be read in a specific manner? Is there a particluar accent that I should use? Strangely enough, I have to admit that I have a Masters Degree in English and have not read this play. I will research it.
neerajanagarajan suggested that this might be a good place to start. I am familiar with Audacity and have access to a mixing board/mic set-up. _________________ “All I am is another fellow human that has at last, after many wrong paths and failed attempts, found Jesus Christ.” –Gary Gygax, Creator of Dungeons and Dragons |

May I apply for the parts:
Tailor
First Servant
Second Servant
I've done the recordings for this little parts, attempting to differentiate the voices and accents.
