Re: Advanced search of Librivox site by keywords (exact match) yields anomalous result

Here are the issues on Github with "Search" in them: https://github.com/LibriVox/librivox-catalog/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+search Ironically, one of them is asking for "or" searches in addition to "and" searches. Probably the best course of action would be to comme...

Re: Setting Up a Solo Project

Until you're entered in as a soloist by an MC (i.e. until your solo is set up with a Magic Window), you don't have access to the workflow system, so those instructions won't work for you yet. And you don't really have a reason to go in there until you have a Magic Window on your project. What page a...

Dan Barry's Daughter by Max Brand (Western)

I just finished listening to "The Seventh Man" - which turns out to be the third in a 4-part series. I guess I'll go listen to the first two now. :P The 4th in the Dan Barry series, "Dan Barry's Daughter", is available. It's on Hathi Trust, here: https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Re...

Re: Advanced search of Librivox site by keywords (exact match) yields anomalous result

Yes, as I recall, the search functionality was one of the last items on our To Do list for the workflow redevelopment in 2013. We ran out of time and money, so it was left undeveloped (or very basically developed). All our software development since has been done by unpaid volunteers. So it has been...

Re: Advanced search of Librivox site by keywords (exact match) yields anomalous result

To add: I THINK the keyword search is an "or" search. So "church and state" would find records with church, state, or and in the keywords. I'm not 100% certain of this, though. Your searching for "fiction" probably brought up all the other results.

Re: Advanced search of Librivox site by keywords (exact match) yields anomalous result

Usually they're a mirror of what was entered here. But in this case, it isn't. Here's what is in the database: fiction France bildungsromans ambition church and state young men I cannot see who changed them at Archive, but if I'm reading the horrible logs correctly, it looks like the ones you mentio...

Re: Just Curious...

After I typed that, I wonder what you mean by "your own project." If you're coordinating a group project, then sure - you can DPL others' submissions, no problem. We do ask that if you record anything in your own group project, that you get someone else to listen to that part. EDIT: Yeah, ...

Re: Just Curious...

No, for two reasons: 1. We want a different set of ears in case a reader inserts something they shouldn't. (This happened once, where a reader inserted a note stating their opinion of bull-fighting. If I recall correctly, that was one of the catalysts to require PLs.) 2. It's too easy for a reader t...
