I'll try to remember to watch for it, but please post a reminder in this thread if ...

Re: [SOLO] Bicycling for Ladies by Maria E. Ward -jo

Very true! Two items of note: (1) Yes, going up an incline IS fatiguing! I can't imagine doing it without gears - being able to down shift! (2) Avoid ruts parallel to your direction of travel: The time I took a tumble as an adult (which earned me a precautionary ride to the hospital in an ambulance)...

Re: Should I Add an Extra Author or Not?

From what I can tell, Harrison Cady was the illustrator, not an author. So he would not be included as an author.

P.S. Thornton W. Burgess died in 1965, so he's still under copyright in Australia. You would be breaking Australian copyright law if you recorded his works.

Re: One Minute Test

It's all good, except it's in stereo rather than mono. :)

Are you using Audacity? To change all future recordings, go to Edit, Preferences, Devices. Under Recording, change Channels to "1 (Mono)".

Just the one edit. Don't worry about the name pronunciation in that chapter. (There are too many to fix, and often the fix makes the file worse than just leaving it alone.) ;)

I've put you in for section 73. Thanks!

Re: [GRP/NONFIC] Darkness and Daylight; or, Lights and Shadows of New York Life - tg

Hi! Can I do section 11/chapter 9, if it is still available? Thank you! Welcome! It's available. I'll put you in for it. How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a link to a personal web site ...

Re: Volunteer CD Covers! Working Thread

Thank you!

Please note that we have a limit of 2 covers at a time. That way more people can be involved. :)

Preclaim brain and voice, FW Mott. Thanks
Claim made (it's not a preclaim when it's already cataloged). ;)

Thanks!

10:29 - "What superiority the mere fact of living-on gives to the dullest dog!" - this sentence has a stumble in it that makes it hard to understand.

If you record further in this project, please note the name is Pisistratus (pih-SISS-tra-tiss). I kept hearing pih-SASS-tra-tiss. :)

PL OK!

I can't wait to hear what limitations she thinks I'll have. Yeah, sometimes I "overdo" it - and my husband does 100+ km (62+ mi) bike rides most weekends of the summer.
