Re: Covermakers Chat Thread
I don't think you should worry too much about re-using an image. I agree that it's nice to tie translations together with the same image and series too. Otherwise I don't think I would use an image that I know is already on a cover of ours, but I wouldn't deliberately check all our covers either. It...

Re: [COMPLETE] El ensueño / Émile Zola - availle
Okay, I catalogued it anyway. But only because it wasn't intentional. :P In the future, if you find an omission, please try to fix it before you're uploading - makes things much easier for everybody involved. You know we have a strict "no change to the text" policy and I'd rather stick to it. It's o...

Re: [DR] The Mystery of a Hansom Cab by Fergus Hume
I did some looking around at the other DR's before deciding to put this forward and for cleanliness quite liked the format where each character was one section: I know that looks oh-so-clean, but in fact is a rather silly idea. :) You have now one single space to juggle 20 different recordings each...

I wonder why Dave is not MCing this himself.
Oh well, I'll be back with the MW in a bit...
Done. Enjoy!

Re: Covermakers Chat Thread
I'm afraid you're on your own. It's very rare that images are reused "verbatim" if you want so. People choose another angle or detail, put in the title/author in a different way so even if the image is the same, the cover looks different. It's just this one I remember, others are less memorabl...

Re: Covermakers Chat Thread
As you say yourself, it is a very evocative image, and I'm a visual person, I remember images easily. And I know the catalog better than most people around here (hint: staff picks ) I have seen it before used in covers, I don't even need to check. If I do, there's Nietzsche, twice even: https:...

Let's start with the ending (and the shorter chapter). Here's section 40, with a runtime of 15:14:

I definitely butchered that name. Thankfully, it only came up once.

Re: LibriVox and Wikipedia Links (Working Thread)
Some small thing about author links that you may not have noticed: You can leave out all the stuff that comes after the first number in the link. To use an example from above: https://librivox.org/author/191?primary_key=191&search_category=author&search_page=1&search_form=get_results is the same as ...
