Re: 1-minute Test

All OK, although you have a bit of background noise. You can reduce this using Audacity noise reduction under filters. No need to do another sample, do that and you are good to go. Happy narrating!

Re: db checker for iPad

Anyone know of a db checker program that works on an iPad. The recommended checker is a DMG file And is not supported on an iPad. Thanks for any help. I don't know of any, but you don't mention what software you're using. If it's TwistedWave (which what would heartily recommend on the iPad) you can...

Re: Why is there all of a sudden a bunch of white noise behind my voice?

There is a repeating mechanical sound, but honestly it's not significant. I have to use closed headphones at high volume to detect it. I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: 1-minute Test

Hi there Your recording sounds very nice, however thee are two technical issues. First, it's a WAV file; LV requires 128kb mono MP3's. You can select these when exporting from Audacity. Second, the volume is way too low. The peaks of your waveforms should be at about the .5 mark in the Audacity reco...

Re: grp/Mystery The Amethyst Cross by Fergus Hume-ag

Chapter 19 PL notes: 5:15 - 5:35 "Lesbia did not call for them...the same as usual." is repeated 13:14 "Loves me" omitted Your recording sounds OK but has numerous clips - that is the wave form exceeds the top or bottom of the window, which can cause audible distortion. I suggest reducing your recor...

Re: LIBRIVOX NARRATOR WORKSHOP! [Zoom, Oct 10]

Due to time constraints, not everyone got a chance to do a live read at tonight's narrator workshop. Consequently, I'm offering any of the participants a private 1-on-1 Zoom session. PM if interested.

I'd like join in the fun, but as a lurker mostly. My voice is shot.

Is there room for me, too? (I do not want to take a place of someone who can better contribute.)

Kevin
