Re: 1-min test - feedback greatly loved

Okay, this sample passes so you are good to go. I used to use Logic and it is fine, and supports punch-and-roll recording if you decide to try it. I've since switched to Reaper and TwistedWave which I find more efficient, but Logic is fine, although it has some weird quirks which is why I switched. ...

Re: 1-min test - feedback greatly loved

Hi Neil I reviewed your sample and it meets all the specs, except that is just a bit too loud at 92.2db (-19.55 RMS). Librivox requires audio that is 86-92db (-25 to -20 RMS). I normalize my files to -21 RMS. The mic sounds fine, so I wouldn't worry about that. There is considerable background noise...

Re: 1-Minute Test Recording

I reviewed your test sample and the recording specs are correct, however there is excessive background noise. First, try to isolate your mic from the noise, such as computer fan. If that isn’t entirely successful, use Audacity’s Noise Removal filter to reduce the background noise about 10db. A video...

Re: 1 minute test

Okay, your specs are all good, but the background noise is still an issue. It needs to come down about -10db to be acceptable. Use Audacity’s Noise Removal filter to reduce the background noise about 10db. A video tutorial on Audacity noise removal is available here: https://youtu.be/rvhqw7zBmEo Ple...

Re: 1 Minute Test

Hi Kevin I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kbps constant bit rate, 44.1kHz sample rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Everything is correct except the volume, which is much too low at 76.1db. First, if you have a gain con...

Your audio is 132kbps variable bit rate and in stereo. There is also too much background noise (sounds ...
