Re: [SOLO] A Gentleman of Leisure, by P.G. Wodehouse - dc

Leading numbers in the title field sometimes cause problems. It's best if the numbers 1-9 are written as 01, 02,...,09. Computers get confused and think 2 comes after 19. The other solution is to put "Ch." or "Chapter" before the number in the title field (or in this case leave them out when they a...

Re: One minute test

Congrats! You are good-to-go. Your volume is barely under the max at 91.9db, so you'll want to keep an eye on that. Happy narrating!

Re: One minute test. :)

I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your sample is 105kbps variable, and much too loud at 97.1db. First, if you have a gain control on your mic, turn it down so your raw r...

Re: My one minute test!

Hi Nick I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Everything is correct, except your overall volume is too low at 83.9db. First, if you have a gain control on your mic, turn it ...

Re: Greetings! Here is my 1 Minute Test :)

I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your sample is 68kbps, variable bit rate, and just 69.4db. Raise the recording volume on your mic, either on an interface if you have o...

I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your test is 192kbps. When exporting your MP3 from Audacity, be sure to first check Bit Rate Mode - Constant, then select 128kb from th...

Re: One minute test - michelleb

Almost. Your audio is slightly too loud at 93db. The acceptable range is 86-92, ideally 89-90. Adjust the volume level before exporting by going to Filters>Amplify and reduce by about -3db. You can verify your audio yourself by downloading the free Checker app: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker...

I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your sample is 76kbps variable, and too soft at 82.1db. There is also too much background noise. First, if you have a gain control on y...
