Re: 1-minute Test

Hello Matthew Your sample meets all the specs, but there is an extreme amount of background noise, more than can be removed by Audacity without causing a lot of audio distortion. Before trying Audacity noise removal, see if you can reduce the amount of environmental noise. The noise sounds mechanica...

Re: one minute test Linda Chen

I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your audio is 176kbps, stereo, and just 79.3db. There is also an extreme amount of background noise. I don't know what you mean by "wit...

Re: 30-second test

Sounds good and meets all the specs. You are good-to-go. Just a note, though: Your volume is just barely under the maximum at 91.9db. You should reduce it by 2-3db going forward. No need to do a new test. You can verify your audio yourself by downloading the free Checker app: https://cgjennings.ca/p...

Re: 1 Minute Test

I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your sample is too low at 84.6db. You also have excessive background noise. First, if you have a gain control on your mic, turn it up s...

Hi Chriz I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your volume is a little too low at 84.5db. First, if you have a gain control on your mic, turn it up so your raw recording has...

Re: [SOLO] A Gentleman of Leisure, by P.G. Wodehouse - dc

Leading numbers in the title field sometimes cause problems. It's best if the numbers 1-9 are written as 01, 02,...,09. Computers get confused and think 2 comes after 19. The other solution is to put "Ch." or "Chapter" before the number in the title field (or in this case leave them out when they a...

Re: One minute test. :)

I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your sample is 105kbps variable, and much too loud at 97.1db. First, if you have a gain control on your mic, turn it down so your raw r...
