Re: [OPEN] Essays Collection #01 - rap

We trust Gutenberg as a source, so anything from this book would be PD, whichever format you choose to read from. Whether they are actual "essays" or "fugitive pieces" remains to be seen. I'll leave that up to you to decide, as defining what an essay is seems to be a bit...

Re: [SOLO] The Story of Slavery by Booker T. Washington-mas

I will try to claim the cover tomorrow morning, once it gets catalogued and posted to the claims board. That might work unless someone else claims it first. You were not difficult at all! It's a great pleasure for me to mentor "newbies", especially those like yourself who are eager to lear...

4 is PL OK And that's all folks! You can change anything that appears in the First Post of your projects, as you can with any of your own posts, by hitting the Edit button (pencil) upper right. It brings up a coded page. Track through to where the Summary says Summary by, and credit whomever wrote ...

PL Notes 1, 2, AND 3 are PL OK 4 6:07 He was attracted thi-ther, you say tie-ther. Sounds a bit weird. Should rhyme with "slither" And that's all the PL notes I have on this amazing little book. It was authentic throughout, and I particularly enjoyed the song at the end, and I bask in ant...

Re: LibriVox monthly statistics

No, there isn't. It's just fun is all. Some people have a small, personal celebration when their car odometer hits milestones or a palindrome; we can have our little joys, too. Ah! I had a party when my car was paid off. And when I retired. And when I turned 70. I guess there were some little joys ...

Re: [OPEN] Essays Collection #01 - rap

Hello🖐 I was wondering if, for the purpose of this project ¿it's valid to use essays from this website? The website: https://publicdomainreview.org/ Or is it preferable to use essays from "Project Gutenberg " or "The Internet Archive"? Thanks Thanks for asking. Good Question. Yo...

Re: LibriVox monthly statistics

Unless I missed it, I think we passed by the 19,000th completed project without noting which one it was. We are currently at 19070....so sometime at the beginning of this month. (74 this month so far) :-) Is there a prize? Does it matter? Someone please give me the rationale for notating the 19000t...

Re: 'Thank You' messages for LibriVox readers - continued

I just finished listening to Underground London , narrated by Peter Yearsley (Peter Why). The book was a remarkable mixture of history, literature, and social commentary, with lots of flowery language bouying its recitation of facts and statistics. I greatly enjoyed John Hollingshead's writing, and ...

Re: Covermakers Chat Thread

Internet Archive is a precious asset seeming sometimes to be in an ocean full of sharks and LV is grateful to be a very small part of it and so we try not to use up too much of their storage on window dressing. But we are not going to use up IAs storage for higher quality images. Anne I am curious ...
