Re: [OPEN]DR: The Tyranny of the Dark - mtf

The rest of Kate's sections are in the MW! Whew, I haven't recorded that much at one go in quite some time.

I'm going to take a little break and go grab some dinner. I'll try to PL some more roles this evening.

Re: Philip van Artevelde by Sir Henry Taylor 1834

Wow, this would be an ambitious undertaking. Though it says two parts, each of those parts is divided into five acts. So this play has ten acts altogether. There's also a lengthy poem in between the two parts, spoken by one of the female leads. I didn't count the roles in this as I skimmed through i...

Re: [King Arthur]From Ritual to Romance by Jessie L. Weston-mtf

Oh, I see. Yes, that does explain it. I'd say it's not a problem, just that it's always good to mention any changes you make that aren't indicated in your PL notes. If nothing else, this will make it difficult for a DPL to find what they need to spot PL, so it's good to bring it up. That way, they k...

Re: [GROUP] Narratives of Colored Americans by A. Mott, M. S. Wood-mtf

My version of Audacity, which I believe to be most up to date, does not have the option of "Constant" bit rate. Choices are: Preset, Variable or Average. Preset has a bit rate of 170 -210 kbps. Variable has a quality of 170 -210 as well. Although the third option, Average "claims" a quality of 128 ...

In my limited experience I 've found that cats can be very affectionate but they like to be left alone. And they tend to think that we, the people, are indeed THEIR pets.
Yes, they enjoy affection, but only on their terms and when they feel like it.

Re: [King Arthur]From Ritual to Romance by Jessie L. Weston-mtf

Thank you, Jim! I'm confused about the difference in length, though. I have the length of your original file at 23:27, but I don't see how this recording could have grown by 3 minutes. :hmm: All I see in your PL notes was a repeated phrase. Maybe that 23:27 was incorrect? EDIT: I checked the first v...

Re: ~[LIT. ESSAYS] A Dish of Orts by George MacDonald-mtf

If you are just wanting to PL those sections, then you can go ahead and do it! No need to "claim," really. (Although it is a good idea to post and say you're about to PL them, to avoid the slim chance of someone else PLing at the same time.) If, on the other hand, you are wanting to PL all of the se...

Hello,

I'd like to play the Dinner Guest, Section 7 and Section 12

Thanks!
Thank you, I'll sign you up!

(And thanks also for being so polite about this repeat request; I just now noticed your earlier claim for this role, which I'd overlooked at the time. )

IP - Listeners WANTED: A Dish of Orts, George MacDonald

[LIT ESSAYS] A Dish of Orts by George MacDonald Readers of George MacDonald are used to his engaging story-telling, winsome characters, and simple theology of trust in God as Father. But this book shows a different side of MacDonald. A Dish of Orts is a varied collection of essays, mostly in the na...
