Re: ~GROUP: The Centaurians by Lottie Ambrose (alias Biagi)

This looks like an interesting book. You are volunteering to BC it, then? Have you read over this page about what a BC is expected to do in order to run a group project? https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=How_To_Become_A_Book_Coordinator If not, please do so and then post here again to confir...

Re: [OPEN]DR: The Tyranny of the Dark - mtf

Just so you know, there is no need to record "section 1" or anything like that, since it will just be cut. The file name tells me which is which, and that's all I need. Speaking of which, I should have labelled that file as "section 2". Would you like it re-uploaded, or do you want to rename it you...

Oh no, I'm sorry that this has been such a comedy of errors for you! Honestly, I think you just had the bad luck to choose as your first project a text that isn't formatted that well. :? Most Gutenberg texts that I've seen actually have hyperlinks embedded in the table of contents that will plonk yo...

Re: Your book story

Well, I discovered that the edition with illustrations actually has only 14 of the original 33 images!

But I guess the plus side of that is that it makes my decision easier.

Currently, my book dilemma is, do I buy the paperback edition that includes the original illustrations by Arthur Hughes or the annotated hardback edition with no illustrations for three times more? Decisions, decisions...

Re: One Act Plays and Other Collections - Planning Thread

This collection showed up on the Book Suggestions forum recently: Diminutive Dramas by Maurice Baring https://archive.org/details/diminutivedramas00bari/ 22 short dramas. Judging by the titles, most of them look to be retellings from mythology or other classics. Could be a great source for the one-a...

Re: [OPEN]DR: The Tyranny of the Dark - mtf

Uploaded a section for PL. As it is, indeed, my first attempt at dramatic reading for Librivox, I'd like to make sure I did this right before recording too many sections. https://librivox.org/uploads/mightyfelix/tyrannyofthedark_mortonserviss_01.mp3 - 8:11 What a debut! You make a perfectly ...

Re: [SOLO]The Marquis of Lossie, MacDonald-mtf

Finally, chapter 27 is ready! I'm hoping that this means I'm out of my slump. But I'm not as confident in my ability to do Malcolm-speaking-English-but-still-sounding-Scotch as I was. I'll try it on the next chapter, and if I succeed there, I don't think I can fail anywhere, because he's pret...
