Re: [SPEECHES] State of the Union Addresses 1901-1908 – lny

I think my sections will work out. I tried to divide things thematically, in rough terms, and I come up with maybe 44 minutes for Section 3 and 41 minutes for Section 4.

Both longer than the first two sections, but not out of the ordinary for a speaker like T.R.

Re: Suggestion: Add Producer Role

If anyone wants to teach me anything, I'll be happy to watch a live or recorded zoom presentation. One just has to give the topic title and post somewhere what time I should tune in. (Oh, I guess I would need a code, too. You all know how it works.) I would love to hear about noise reduction, or DC ...

Re: [GROUP] Tea and Tea Drinking-mtf

Tea has become an umbrella term for the main meal in the UK. "Have you had your tea?" meaning "Have you had your dinner?". It was more so in the past than now though, I think. And sometimes used with different meaning by the different social classes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_(meal) I am ce...

Re: [GROUP] Tea and Tea Drinking-mtf

By the way, is there a reason why you're using the hathitrust link rather than the gutenberg one? https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/46158 I find texts on gutenberg easier to access, but I'm just asking :) I've been having trouble with Gutenberg texts. They seem to take forever to respond to my scrol...

Re: [Fiction/Humor] The Pothunters by P. G. Wodehouse -m8b1

Chapter 13 needs a few corrections made. There is a hum in the background. Could you please remove it. It would also be nice if you could go through the whole thing and remove some of the loud breathing sounds such as occur at 9:01 and 10:09. 3:13 - remove the "al" in "said Al Sir Alfred fussily" 6...

Re: When is the Next Zoom Meeting?

Is there a way of my putting a photograph on zoom for my gallery image? I could try that in the absence of a video camera.

Kevin,
I'll look at it. It won't be before Thursday. My mom has been in and out of the hospital since Saturday. She is currently back in. <sigh>
Don't worry about it. Seriously. I'll just keep recording and we'll discuss it all when your mum is well. Bless you and her.

Ah - I just read the first few posts of this thread and was reminded of what it is. So just because there are unassigned sections doesn't mean it's not full. :) Carry on!
And I thought you were chastising us! I should know better (Wink.)
