Re: ~[FULL/One-Act Zoom Play] Retained for the Defense, by John Oxenford - tg

I've submitted this to the one-act play collection; it'll catalog in that project.

I'm sending this thread to "Completed Projects" and reusing the Magic Window for some new project. 8-)

Long Poem: The Angel in the House by Coventry Patmore

The Angel in the House is a narrative poem by Coventry Patmore, first published in 1854 and expanded until 1862. . . . The poem was an idealized account of Patmore's courtship of his first wife, Emily Augusta Andrews (1824–1862), whom he married in 1847 and believed to be the perfect woman. Accordi...

12 PL OK!

Section 14:

9:25 - Repeat/stumble: "Conson... Consonantly enough to this"
16:27 - "He was black-balled out of..." repeated at 16:33

:) Yes, I noticed the order (or lack thereof). ;)

No PL yet.
I can PL it this evening!
Thanks! Any comments on pacing and the volume levels of the different characters (if they're noticeably different) are welcome!

Re: [GRP/NOVEL] The Caxtons, by Edward Bulwer-Lytton - tg

Preface: PL OK! (Although the file name should have been caxtons_00_bulwer-lytton_128kb, but I'll fix that at cataloging time.) :) Chapter 1: 1:17 - slight stumble: "or he may have sided with M..Monboddo" 2:44 - "and reduced into a whole by a committee of taste" - in this, "whole" sounds like it has...

Re: Seamless Edits: Help! [Split from the Audacity Problem thread]

EJ - I split this off into its own thread so that you get more eyes on it. Plus, I think it's less of an Audacity problem as it is a general recording problem that can happen to anyone, regardless of software used. ;) I try to edit as soon after recording as possible, to minimize the differences in ...

Re: [SOLO] Stephen Mitchell's Journey, by Pansy - tg

Two chapters up. :)

Mistake 1: a misread. I read (about Flora Ann being able to read, and reading aloud) "without regard to pauses or punctuation" as "pauses or pronunciation" which was clearly wrong, if she could read. ;)

Mistake 2: I said "end of chapter 20" at the end of chapter 19.

Re: ZOOM Discussion Thread

We should keep in mind that a Zoom Pro account is good for 1 year only, then needs to be renewed at (the current rate of) $159. Who would pay that? We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Either someone will offer, or it'll drop. Doesn't it have a monthly option? Or did they dump that? (Our chur...

Re: ZOOM Discussion Thread

That makes sense. Throwing out my random thoughts: I cannot remember; can non-admins edit posts they've made that are really old (say, a few months old)? If so, I'd be OK having a non-admin head up the scheduling thread. (I'm barely keeping my head above water here at LV already, and I know Phil is ...
