Re: The Golden Legend (translator: Frederick Startridge Ellis (1830–1901))

Hi, Kazbek-san! Thanks for your suggestion and selection. You are professional person in the area. So, I'm all ears now. He oversaw a 1900 edition of Caxton's translation, and although Wikipedia says that it's "updated into more modern English", it appears to be Caxton's original text in modernized ...

Re: The Golden Legend (translator: Frederick Startridge Ellis (1830–1901))

Oh, thanks for your effort and suggestion. (I would like to express my deepest gratitude for all of them.) If you're looking for the actual book (it's a kind of encyclopedia of saints, by the way), this is one: https://archive.org/details/goldenlegendorl00caxtgoog/mode/2up I have the paper book in J...

Re: The Golden Legend (translator: Frederick Startridge Ellis (1830–1901))

The volume is as same as the Holy Bible. So, you can't take it on your own.

I hope a Roman Catholic build a team at his church and take it. Because the audiobook would be for them first.

The Golden Legend (translator: Frederick Startridge Ellis (1830–1901))

Hi, all! My request is The Golden Legend. Caxton's translation is in Middle English. It's the biggest disappointment. (Many English learners in Asia cannot read it.) But, here is a good news: we can use Ellis' translation! I have a link: https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/008559655?type[]=all&loo...

[Toukaidou 53 stations (東海道五十三次)] I must explain Toukaidou (東海道) at first. Shougun Tokugawa Ieyasu (徳川 家康) defined 5 highways from Edo (江戸). This is Go-kaidou (五街道). Toukaidou is a route to Kyouto (京都) and runs through the south foot of Mt. Fuji. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ja/thumb/f/f9/...

At Mt. Kinpu in Yoshino,
it sonws whenever it is;
It rains as endless rains.
As it sonws whenever it is,
As it rains as endless rains,
The moon is alwas misty.
And you are always in me.

I have been walking the pass.

[Momoe-chan (ももえちゃん, or 百恵ちゃん)] Momoe-chan is world-famous through cartoonist Sakura Momoko (さくらももこ) sensei's Little Maruko (ちびまる子ちゃん). In a polite way, Momoe-chan is Mrs. 'Miura Tomokazu (みうら ともかず, or 三浦 友和)'. But no one calls her so. Because she is Momoe-chan forever. She was a singer and actress....

What a poor situation!
And I can't kill myself!
Here, near Irago, I have me wet to get my ration.
I eat sea weed again by myself.

because it won't close till I get a large enough number of contributors.

Do you need 1,900 more takers and more? When does your collect phase time out? Your paper has no deadline?

Hi, 法子(Noriko)? 紀子(Noriko)? 則子(Noriko)? 典子(Noriko)? ノリ子(Noriko)? Are you perhaps 海苔子(Noriko)? I suppose the sampling time (10-15 minutes) per section is too long. Because they are busy. If it took 15 seconds per section and had 100 sections and the texts were under 3,000 words level, I could take pa...
