And it's PL OK!

Phil, double-check me, but I believe that means that this whole project is now PL OK. :D

Re: Recording

Algy's right - you probably will have to do some noise cleaning, but truthfully I think most of us do.

Good luck on your 1 minute test, and we're glad to have you aboard!

Re: Grim: The Story of a Pike - phi

I'm a bit concerned about the volume; Checker says it passed, but it also put it at 91.4 dB. I don't think that it's noticeably louder than the sections around it. :-) There is one tiny fix and we can mark this PL OK once it's done. Right now there is about 3 seconds of silence leading up to the re...

Re: 'Thank you' messages for Librivox in general

This is a hearty thank you to those LVers who have, at different times, taken it upon themselves to head up the weekly and fortnightly poetry projects. Poetry is a deep love of mine, and I absolutely adore the idea of having multiple readings in multiple accents of poetry. :9: To hear different into...

Re: [RELIGION] Sermons on Several Occasions by John Wesley -

Tricia, I'm afraid I need either your help, your advice, or both. Thus far, I recorded about 33 minutes worth of raw audio for Sermon #53. However, then I needed to be away from the microphone for more than a few minutes, so I stopped recording, believing I would be able to use the Shift+Record tric...

Re: Hidden Treasures by Harry A. Lewis - phi

Tekksavvy, I'm afraid I have sad news - this submission is the second half of John Adams (section 36) instead of the first half (section 35). We need a section 35. Please try again. Start with the Librivox disclaimer, then read from "The subject of this narrative was a great-grandson of Henry Adams"...

Re: Coors can't spell

I've never believed that all publicity is good publicity. It's not uncommon with me to studiously avoid a product because I find the marketing insipid, insulting, invasive, or manipulative (ran out of alliteration, sorry). I've even stopped buying products I otherwise enjoyed because the marketing b...
