My pleasure .. a bit of a shock seeing yousendit working properly!

I've recorded one of my favourites today: Coleridge's Kublai Khan, but I'll hold it for the next volume, as I'm running out of poems. I really must get to the library for a volume of miscellaneous poetry, to spread my net.

Kara, my three poems:

Abou ben Adhem - Leigh Hunt
The Last Rose of Summer - Thomas Moore

are from Poems Every Child Should Know, Ed Mary E Burt, Gutenberg etext number 16436

Jenny kissed me - also Leigh Hunt ... I culled from the internet, but he lived from 1784-1859

There you go; Merriman doesn't have too much to say (but the WAV is 22 Mb! ... more talkative characters are going to have to break down their parts into lots of bits.)

Do we need to insert a marker before each of our character's recordings? .... the previous sentence, for example ... to make it easier for the poor editors to identify? After all, the butler says "Yes, Sir" at least twice with, as I read it, different intonations, so it'd be a help to know which one...

Welcome Koori: it's a lot of fun. Try yourself out with the weekly poem, or perhaps with Readers Wanted/Short Poetry - Anything goes, or dive straight into Readers Wanted and ask for a chapter of something you fancy. Solo (doing all of one work yourself) is *hard* work, but have a try ... especially...

I found the same thing with the poem Abou ben Adhem ... I've no idea why; it just touched something in me. I got round it by reading it again and again before final recording ... desensitisation.

Kara, where's the Comments area? I couldn't find anything under recent news, and couldn't see any link specifically labelled Comments, on the Home page.
