I think it depends on your linguistic background.
Having learned French first, I pronounce it LEE-bree-vox
Plus, I tend to emphasize the -bree because I remember trying to google "libravox" when I first heard it.

I haven't quite figured out how the Normalize effect works...

As for the Noise Removal settings, could anyone tell me what the 3 settings (noise reduction, frequency smoothing, attack/decay) actually control?

I noticed that when you select an area close to the dark lines, it will snap to them. Other than that, I guess it's just to mark where the pasted stuff is... now that you mention it, I once crashed the program too by clicking on the lines; I think it's because I double-clicked. I tap the base of the microphone twice (I have one of those mics that stands on the table). I find it's quicker than to snap my fingers. Works well when you've got long nails.

Usually it's just one spot that is on the edge, so you can't amplify the whole selection. What I usually do is de-amplify that point, then amplify the whole thing. Or allow clipping.
