Ruby Wedding Collection by various authors.

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/ruby-wedding-collection/
This collection is being recorded in celebration of my 40th wedding anniversary - giving myself plenty of time and expecting it to be fun!
  • Text sources (only read from this text!): in Magic Window
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

If you're still planning to do this at some point, do you need a DPL? You know I LOVE listening to your recordings!

Here we go! :D

Althought this has a certain charm (apart from the writer being quite the misogynist, which I didn't expect from the author of The Woman Who Did), it is a highly implausible little tale. Owing to that, and my AWFUL attempt at the American lady's accent, I've moved this to the middle of the collection so that listeners are not off-put at the beginning ;).

There is no hurry at all, MaryAnn. I know you're very busy at the moment.

Ruth,

Well, that was a surprising ending. :? No surprise, it is PL OK.

Your American accent is cute!

Thank you, MaryAnn. Heh, I have such difficulty with it. I'm sure it sounds as if she has picked up a bit from every part of the continent.

Here's another little one: https://librivox.org/uploads/ruthieg/ruby_09_princetissa_128kb.mp3 6:18.

This is going to be rather an eclectic collection ;).

Ruth,
Prince Tissa is PL OK. That was different . . . and very well read in light of the subject.

Ruth,
I noticed the Ruby Throat on my PL list and went ahead and listened. All OK.

Thank you, MaryAnn. Yes, I'm sorry I didn't post. I was intending to upload the next one too, but didn't get around to it :). I have uploaded section 1 now. It is a bittersweet little thing. I loved it, and I hope you do too.

Thanks, MaryAnn. I don't know whether I will get them all done - I may have to reduce the number of items. I have had more tooth problems and a bit of a hiatus in recording. I will do what I can in the time.

One more... a bit of an epic. I just squeezed it in under the time limit.

Ruth,
Vatteville is PL OK. The scumbag. Glad he got nothing in return for his treachery.

Hah! Me too.

I am making a few alterations to the contents of this collection. One or two of the original ones were really not very good, and I have found a couple of others which are better.

Here's another, and this one is even sillier than the others ;). Appropriate perhaps, as 40 years of marriage tends to addle the brain.
