no !!! this is really bad, I cannot guess at the missing text.

I contacted the user that uploaded this book, hopefully he still has the scans and can help out.

Stay tuned. Meanwhile maybe continue with reading as much as you can and we'll see about this later. I let you know as soon as I have an answer.

oh wow this was hard to swallow. Pure evil ! And I can't understand people who only want puppets instead of trying to be genuinely loved by another person. Poor Maud, who would have thought that her mind was so easily subdued. It seems that Madeleine is really the stronger of the two.

PL ok again. Now I hope Bianchi came to save her from this devil.

shock ! being buried alive is a horrible thought. How will they find her if she cannot move or scream ?

And poor Bianchi somehow. It's a bit of a drastic way that Lazarus chose. Why immediately commit suicide ? A bit unbelievable to my mind.

But he was stark mad in the end.

I'm on tenterhooks !

grrrr I so don't like such endings....why oh why has Maud to die now ? Why couldn't she just recover because Lazarus was dead ? And it's highly unlikely that she would recover that much, speak, sing, whatever, and then still be dying. It's either wasting away and dying, or recovering and well...getting better. This is illogical.

Rant over... the chapter was perfectly narrated though. PL ok

I loved your rant! Yeah, they could have all been one big happy family. But it did bring forth some heartfelt tears of sorrow. I always do like a good cry!
