As in a Mirror by Pansy (1841 - 1930).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/as-in-a-mirror-by-pansy/
A wealthy and successful author, John Stuart King is preparing to write his next book, which includes a homeless tramp. He has done all the research and thinks he knows what he needs to on the subject. But in a sermon he hears with a friend, the minister exhorts his flock to be kind to the homeless, as Jesus would do. Taking the minister’s sermon to heart, John Stuart resolves to live the life of a tramp so he can truly understand the tramp's plight. He not only finds information for his upcoming book, but he finds the truth about loving Christ from the heart. ( TriciaG)

  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): special

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

First two chapters up!

So far this almost doesn't feel like a Pansy book.

I started recording chapter 7, but my voice got too raspy and phlegmy, that it didn't make sense to continue.

Interesting concept I hadn't though of in a very long time. What is inferred about a young lady the next day. Reputation.
