Hi Wendy, I understand what happened to chapter 1. I needed the duration before entering it to the mw. Could you please send the link with the duration of the chapter and I will update the mw?

Chapter 10 pl notes:

The intro disclaimer is read out of order. Please read as instructed here:

"Chapter [number] of Mrs. Dalloway . This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
Say:
"Mrs. Dalloway , by Virginia Woolf . [Chapter]"

13:42: Should be 'Let him then face the screen' but I heard 'let him face then face the screen'.

This file ends at 'Ah Damn she cried' but should have gone on until 'One scene after another at Bourton'

Thank you, AshleighJane. Shall I put you in as DPL or are you just doing a few files?

About chapter 10, the reader uploaded twice, because of an uploading and file naming error. The first file has a different duration, so maybe it contains all the recording :?:

32:39

Hopefully Lysa - the reader - will see these posts and do the corrections and upload again :D

i did see that. I believe the second upload was due to a change in quality as i noticed the reader said they re-uploaded because they weren't happy with the original. There's a significant amount of background noise/distortion in the original. I think it can be made useable with noise editing it but may be worth waiting to see if Lysha pops in to tell us what she wants to do

The second was also a re-record so pl notes will be different :)

Chapter 05 PL Notes:

0:26: 'Chapter 5' is missing after saying 'Mrs Dalloway, by Virginia Woolf'

30:35 There is a stumble in the phrase 'and roses hang about him'

34:47 This should be 'The dead were in Thessaly' but I heard 'the dread were in Thessaly'

37:46: The word 'themselves' is stumbled on in the phrase 'what awful fix had they gotten themselves into'

37:57 This is really an optional fix as it's not too terribly distracting but I heard a phone or perhaps a doorbell here

47:51 - 47:54 There is a repeat here

54:19 Stumble on the word 'there' in the phrase 'there she was, however'

As a general note, when you do make edits it is better to re-record a whole phrase rather than attempting to replace just once word. (not necessarily a whole paragraph or sentence, just somewhere with a small break in recording) In a couple of places, it sounds as though just one word was replaced. I haven't marked them as they aren't a major issue. However, if they did occur from one word being replaced, it will sound smoother in future to replace the whole phrase.

I'm not sure if you already do this but many people pause for a moment, then click their tongue or snap their fingers to make a spike in the recording after making an error, then re-read the phrase they made an error in. That way when you're editing the spike will show you that there is a mistake to be edited out.
