I have edited Chapter 12 and I tried to fix the volume in the only way I know how! My checker said that it was at 88.1 dB and I tried to use the Loudness Normalization feature to fix the loud and quiet parts as well.

Here is the Chapter 12 link with the edits and the length is now at 22:11

Also, here is the first recording for Chapter 14 (length) 16:18

Thanks and have a great weekend!!

Jane,

Chapter 12 is PLOK  Your corrections were seamless.

Now we get to Chapter 14. First, I am so glad that a female selected this chapter. It would have seemed a little weird having a male read those lines. Second, I am so glad that you read those line. Your interpretation of Lady Cary was great, your interpretation of Eva was amazing. You were her. Thank you so, so much. :9:

Even outstanding portrayals sometimes have minor errors.

:32 as it was the time when the maid was rung for I heard their, but I very well could be wrong.

5:00 We combine the corruption of a Louis XV. Usually 'regional pronunciations' are fine, but in this case, I think this should be corrected. The Kings of France named Louis are pronounced “Louie”, so he would be “Louie the Fifteenth”.

8:50 it is a cynical acquiescence Here is situation where a listener might miss the word. Acquiescence is pronounced like this: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/acquiescence

8:54.5 and over-clothed worshippers of Mammon Also, here, someone might have a problem figuring out the word. The pronunciation is: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/mammon

Thanks,

Wayne

Thank you Wayne!

It was a lot of fun reading for Lady Carey and Eva :) I just need to work on reading for male characters and making them more distinct. Something to work on!

I was able to fix the errors and thanks again for your sharp eyes!

Chapter 14 length is still at 16:18,

Here is Chapter 7.

Tina
Tina,

Your reading was absolutely word-perfect!! However.....

Two minor, easy fixes. At the beginning of your recording, we need .5 to 1 second of silence. You have about two seconds, and, since you will be in there anyway, could you cut about .75 of a second out of the 'outgo'. We try to have 5 seconds.

Waiting for the corrections, and it will be good to go. :D

Good morning everybody, I read the pl notes for the last chapters. I will pass them as pl- ok. It is not ideal. But I think the mistakes are very minor and we can live with that and complete the project in the clean up month.
I don't usually do it, but I decided to interfear because a huge team worked so hard on this one this month and I don't want the team to be disappointed.
Wain, I admire your hard work. You are amazing. I have nothing personal agains you. I saw how hard this team worked and I have to make that work rewarding. This is also important I think.
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.
