Hiya! My name is Emily, but I also respond to Rose (middle name). LibriVox basically got me through half of my undergrad degree, since my concentration was medieval literature. I'm a librarian now, and I do a lot of read alouds/read alongs for kids, and it reminded me of librivox and how great of a resource it was when I was younger. So, here I am, planning on doing the one minute test script soon to see if I have the chops to record for librivox. If not, I'll still try to contribute to other volunteer positions!

Hello, Emily, and welcome to Librivox!

Your work reading with children sounds exciting. You'll have ample opportunity to apply your skills in Librivox! I'm sure you'll make great contributions to this project.

I'm a teacher and a confessed bookworm and as such, libraries are among my favourite places in the world and I find librarians awesome people!

Have a great experience in Librivox. Happy recording! :9:
