Sermon 11 fixed. https://librivox.org/uploads/mightyfelix/selectionsermonsjohncalvin_11_calvin_128kb.mp3 30:57 I couldn't get the replay gain to work, I'll have to study it more. I usually edit audio in PowerDirector, I have been using Audacity since I started reading this book so It's all new. I will pay closer attention to detail when reading.

I haven't heard back from Scarlett about sermon 3 so I'm gonna open it up again.

Hi ECMinistry,

No, problem, I'll take a look soon!

You're free to use whichever program you like - we recommend Audacity only because it's free and designed exclusively for audio editing. I had a look and it seems like PowerDirector lets you normalise things but not do any kind of loudness normalisation (a search for powerdirector LUFS doesn't really give any good results) so I wonder if it doesn't do that because it's mainly a video editor. Perhaps you can export your recorded track in a lossless format (eg: .wav) and then import it into audacity to do the levels. Instead of using ReplayGain, you can use the Loudness Normalisation effect in audacity (which is inbuilt for the latest version). You can set it to -15 LUFS which should meet the Librivox technical specification. To make sure it doesn't clip when you do this, it might help to compress it a bit before you do Loudness Normalisation.

Having to make edits after proof listening is very normal at Librivox - it doesn't mean you've done a bad job. I expect to need to do at least 1 edit on all my recordings. I don't know if you were trying to record everything in one take - if you did, you were extraordinarily accurate. You can always mark mistakes with a click and then edit later.

Really neat edits. You did a geat job. All the changes are fine.

There's one thing that still needs to be changed and one thing that you might choose to:
The sample rate is set at 16 but we need it to be 44.1k. There's a simple video about it here.

The other thing (optional fix) is that your 5 seconds of silence at the end of the track are recorded silence rather than true silence. To get complete silence, you can use the Generate->Silence option in the audacity menu. It just sounds nicer :)

After the bit rate is fixed (should only take 10 seconds!), I'll mark this one as ready to go.

Good edits, PL OK!

Sermon 10 just needs the volume adjusted.

Would you like to take the last sermon? Otherwise I'll do it so we can get this into the catalogue.

I hate to see one chapter sitting by itself so I'll do chapter 3 if you still need someone.

Section 13 PL notes:
12:13 there's an over-long pause before "to ask him why..." (only noticeable because your general cadence is so delightfully active)
