I reviewed your test sample and some changes are needed. LibriVox requires audio that is 128kb constant bit rate, mono, and between 86db and 92db, preferably 89-90. Your sample is too low at 84.6db. You also have excessive background noise.

First, if you have a gain control on your mic, turn it up so your raw recording has wave forms that peak at about the 0.5 marks in the Audacity window. If necessary, adjust the volume level before exporting by going to Filters>Amplify.

Use Audacirty’s Noise Removal filter to reduce the background noise about 10db. A video tutorial on Audacity noise removal is available here: https://youtu.be/rvhqw7zBmEo

You can verify your audio yourself by downloading the free Checker app: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/

Please record a new test with the same file name and post it as a reply. I’ll return and review it for you.

Here is my new recording. I did the checker and I am getting 88.9 dB. I also performed the noise reduction. I appreciate all the feedback you can give. Thank you :)
