Welcome to librivox :D

You have some settings to correct

The bit rate should be 128 kbps.

The recording should be in mono sound, not stereo sound.

The recording should use a constant bit rate rather than variable bit rate (VBR).
The volume is too low at 81dB (we aim for 86 - 92dB)

Please let me know which software you are using to record, then i can give you instructions on how to fix :D

The bit rate should be 128 kbps - when you export, change 'quality' to 128 kbps

The recording should be in mono sound. Go to 'preferences' 'devices' and change 'channel' to 'mono'

The recording should use a constant bit rate. When you export, change 'bit rate mode' to 'constant'

The volume is too low at 81dB (we aim for 86 - 92dB). You will want to turn up your recording volume and/or make use of the amplify effect. If you like you can use the checker tool to verify volume https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/

Please re-record your test (you will need to re-record to get mono sound), upload again and post the link here :)

Sorry I took a while to get back to you!

You're sounding great and all settings are now correct, so you're okay to record for projects
