Volunteer hours - how to track and verify

I wonder if any high school student volunteer have a way to track their volunteer hours for the work done at LibriVox. Any advice to share? How much time on average it takes for a newbie to complete an hour's recording by the time it passes Proof Listening (PL)?

For the record, we won't verify any volunteer hours. You may want to check with your school to determine if any extra time will be credited beyond the run time of the file(s) as shown on the project catalog pages, and if they'll allow hours worked without any other verification or signatures.
