First, please forgive me if I have posted this in an incorrect section, my only excuse is that I'm new here and feel as though I am blundering around much like the proverbial bull in a china shop, only with a lot less finesse.

I have completed my first 1 minute recording, (It's actually only about 45 seconds long), and I had spent several hours trying to work out where to upload it to, when I came across a link in this document, (https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/User:Philchenevert), pointing me to a YouTube Video, (How to upload your 1 minute test - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J83ZLPb4Xu8). Unfortunately this video is private and therefore I am unable to view it. I couldn't even find anywhere to enter a user name & password :(

Can someone please, in words of one syllable, explain where to upload the MP3 file.

I think I am relatively comfortable on the process of uploading my file, my problem is the location where to upload it to.

Thank you

No problem! It takes most people a little while to find their feet. :D The uploader is here: https://librivox.org/login/uploader Use this as your login info:Image

You'll need to choose a folder from the drop down menu. For a test, choose the "tests" folder. Then choose your file and click Start. When it's finished, the file name will turn into a blue URL. Copy that and paste it in a new topic in Listeners Wanted.

By the way, I don't know why that video isn't available. Maybe Phil changed his settings or replaced it with a new video and we never changed the link. I found another one here that should work: https://youtu.be/9oTSlFSoEeY

Thank you very much.

I will watch that video, and get the sound file uploaded as soon as I can
