You'd think, having married into a Dutch family (in-laws are first generation immigrants, having come to Canada as children), I'd get this phrase done quicker:

i was fearing to contribute too much in these threads, but..
this sequence gave me a good laugh while editing

For some reason my mom got really into her character in Understood Betsy- a kitten. She had to do two takes because her first hiss was way too aggressive and she didn't realize it was supposed to be a baby cat... and then she decided to add a meow as well. I don't know why recording this was so hard.

That's a very realistic cat noise. If I had to guess, I'd say your mom has lots of experience with cats!

Well, I don't know, my mom does a good aggressive cat impersonation (apparently)... just as long as your cat doesn't take offense.
