Section 3: At 22 seconds you say, "Section 3," you can clip out that part.
Section 4: At around 22 or 23 seconds you say, "Section 4," you can clip out that part.
Section 5: At 22 seconds you say, "Section 5," you can clip out that part.
Section 6: At 21.5 seconds you say, "Section 6," you can clip out that part.
All fixed!

Hi Roma, here's section 33 for you. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!

Section 33 "Smut"
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/veryshortstories_33_clifford_128kb.mp3 (length: 3:06)
In the beginning, we aim for 0.5-1 seconds of silence, you have more. At 1:09 you say "Then Smut went and sat down on the lord's writing-table." The actual line is "Then Smut went and sat him down on the lord's writing-table." At 1:49 you say "Never before did I see a little dicky-bird with a furry coat, a long tail, and little white teeth." The actual line is "Never before did I see a dicky-bird with a furry coat, a long tail, and little white teeth."
Section 33: The recording falls out of the target range at 92.4 dB.
Section 34: The recording falls out of the target range at 92.8 dB.
Section 35: The recording falls out of the target range at 92.7 dB. At 1:49 you say, "You are not in a prison," the actual line is, "You are not in prison."

So sorry for the long wait on these, things have been a bit hectic.

Hello again, Here are revised versions of 26,37, and 42. hopefully with all notes corrected. Looking forward to hearing back. thanks. Nancy

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/veryshortstories_26_clifford_128kb.mp3 time 2.45.5
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/veryshortstories_37_clifford_128kb.mp3 time 3.31
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/veryshortstories_42_clifford_128kb.mp3 time 1.14
Technical aspects are great for all three recordings, however, there seems to be this strange buzzing noise throughout them. Perhaps try noise reduction, it might be beneficial, and then I'll listen to them again.

Here is section 18: The Proud Boy
https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/veryshortstories_18_clifford_128kb.mp3
Length: 2:34
Here is section 19:Seeking the Violets https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/veryshortstories_19_clifford_128kb.mp3
Length: 2:05
Section 18: The recording falls out of the target range at 94.3 dB. There seem to be some clicking noises and background noise, try noise reduction and see what you can do.
Section 19: The recording falls out of the target range at 95.6 dB. Again, there is some background noise, try to noise reduce that. If it doesn't work, you can always try to re-record the section in a quieter place.

Hello again, I am sending you just #42, the little maid, for starters. Let's try to get this one right and then I can go from there on the other 2. I gave this another noise reduction, upping the settings a bit, but any more specific info you could provide as to what it is you hear would be helpful, any specific frequency, etc., as I am not hearing what you are hearing as a constant buzzing noise throughout ,so my adjustments are a bit of a guess at this point. This issue hasn't come up with other recent recordings I have submitted that have PL'd OK so not sure what is going on with these 3. Thanks for your patience. Nancy

That's PL OK! If you look back at the previous recording for this section, you can most notably hear the background noise in the beginning silence, and it is a lot compared to the ending silence. You might have to increase your volume up just a tad to hear the background noise, and listening to it through headphones is really beneficial; you can hear background noise a lot better through them.

thanks, if this is good, I will apply the same level of noise reduction to the other 2 readings and send them along. I agree on the headphones, I always work with headphones on, for recording and editing, but maybe my hearing ain't what it used to be ! More soon and thanks . nb
