Hello Desiree! Welcome to Librivox

I just wanted to clear something up to avoid misunderstandings. You don't need to record a section before you can claim it. In fact, when you post to claim a section it's best to wait for a reply from the Book Coordinator before recording, just to make sure that the section is indeed available for recording; for example, sometimes the Magic Window may not reflect latest posts.

Sure, have fun.

I have listened to the file. It seems like you have recorded a portion of chapter 2. To find chapter 17 in the text, do a search for "Chapter XVII" to get to it. It starts with "Our wind held so fair and steady at north-east". Tech specs are correct, but volume is a bit softer than desired by 5dB. Check if you can increase your microphone's input volume before your next recording, or use a tool like
the Checker to measure volume of your mp3 file, and adjust with amplification if needed. Remember to leave five seconds of room silence at the end of the recording. Thanks!

Thanks @Rapunzelina. Yes, I have recorded a wrong page. I'm very sorry.
Thanks for helping me out, I appreciate it a lot. I will now work on my recording for chapter 17. Thank you.
