Cindy,
Section 22 is hilarious! Lions teeth can't stand up to the gardener with a mower!
PL OK.

Kim,
Section 10 is PL OK. Glad to see that you are now friends with the springtime maiden!

Of course M! I think the intro is longer than the poems ... but such it is.

For the catalog thing I'm Elizabeth Hill. I think I'd like to do more sections from this book, but first I want to make sure I'm doing things right, since this is my first recording aside from the one minute test.

Hello! I'd love to read section 23 - The Birth of the Violet (Legend), if that would be okay?
Welcome to the project Kayty (and welcome to LibriVox). I've assigned this section to you. Let us know if you have any questions.

Elizabeth,
What a lovely story! I love the indignation you put into dandelion, and the coaxing of violet.
Everything looks good except your volume is a bit high at 93.6 dB. Your file is not clipping, so I can adjust the volume down when I catalog. For future reference, if you're recording with Audacity, you can use the ReplayGain plugin to monitor your volume and Effect Amplify to adjust (plus or minus, as indicated by ReplayGain). ReplayGain includes an automatic adjustment feature, but I personally don't use it because I want to know how loud my files are before any adjustment (so I can adjust mic placement or input settings if I'm way off). More info on Replay Gain is here: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Measuring_Volume_within_Audacity

I also noticed that the intro seems quieter than the rest of the recording. Not an issue for this one, but something to watch out for in the future. I suspect you were looking away from the mic or speaking softer when you read the intro.

I'll mark it PL OK and I look forward to hearing more of you!

Well Jack, you clearly did enjoy reading it. You had me laughing with the Bee making wax, and all the way through to the flower grabbing that last drop by the hair and turning her into a flower.
PL OK and well done!

Hmmm Katy, I seem to have lost my post. But anyway, your reading was lovely and is PL OK! I hope something else tickles your interest so I can hear more from you!
