Here's my recording!

Your reading of the text is quite nice. However, there are a few things that need to be addressed none of which have to do with the quality of your actual reading.

1. There is too much silence at the start. Should be between .5 and 1 second, so about .5 second needs to be removed.

2. ~1:18 add "end" to "catching it on the wisp end".

3. The volume should be between 86 and 92 dB. Your recording is quite a bit louder than that. Suggest reducing the volume by about 6 dB or more.

4. There is a fair bit of background noise. Reducing the volume as mentioned above may take care of the problem, but if not, I suggest you use the Noise Reduction function on the file.

Please let us know if you need any assistance with this - all is easily fixed in Audacity once you know how to do the things.

The two chapters were interesting to listen to and you did a nice job with the reading. That being said, however, there are a few small changes to be made to the files.

Both files have background noise throughout. Running the files through Noise Reduction in Audacity should clean up a lot of that.

Also, the instructions ask to put your (optional) name at only the beginning or end of the recording, not in both places.

Additional items for Chapter 10
1. At ~1:44, delete the caption "Chimney Swift"

2. At ~2:21, delete the caption "Arkansas Goldfinch"

3. At ~7:10, change "when" to "which" in "when he could make as good a meal"

4. At either 0:16 or 7:39 remove "read by smilingjade". You do not need to remove both.

Additional items for Chapter 11

1. You should have a little more silence at the beginning, add around 0.5 seconds

2. At either 0:16 or 10:26 remove "read by smilingjade". You do not need to remove both.
