Lord Montagu's Page, by George Payne Rainsford James (1799 - 1860)
A young man is crossing the English Channel bound for France. It is obviously not his first such trip, but who is he and what is his errand? Almost immediately, Ned, for such is his name, falls into danger. He is carried to the home of a town official, where he is tended by a doctor and the the official and his beautiful ward. It emerges he is page to Lord Montagu, right-hand man to the Duke of Buckingham. What message does he carry, how will he get it to its destination and how will this affect the history of Louis XIII? (Summary by LynneT)

If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

That would be great. Don’t expect me to dash through it though.

It's all good except for a chair creak at 10:54. It doesn't obscure what you are saying so it is up to you whether you want to fix it or not. :)

Thank you. The occasional chair squeak is fine, so I’ll mark it PL OK, if you don’t mind.

Sure - PL OK. Some people really care about the chair squeaks and background noises and some don't so I thought I would err on the side of too many notes for the first section :)

Ok, but general LV policy is the occasional chair squeak (bird chirps, dogs, breathing etc) are acceptable… we have had complaints from readers when everything is edited out, that it sounds too “perfect” and they question whether we are real people at all. We just don’t want it too intrusive.

Sounds good :). I didn't know some people complained about it being too perfect. How interesting! But makes sense since they specifically downloaded the audiobook to be read by a real person. It is so much nicer to be read to by a real person than *shudders* computer generated audio :D

2 PL notes for Chapter 2:

4:13 missing the text "skins and little caring about mine.' Thus thinking, he began to"

7:07 repeat of "would not have"

Chapter 2 PL OK

Chapter 3 has only one PL note: @3:51 hear "Now, in this Isle de Rhe now in the Isle de Rhe" when the text says "Now in the Isle de Rhe"
