I'm not sure, if this is the right thread to post a question like that, so if it happens to be the wrong one, I would be happy, if someone could point me to the correct thread.
I am the soloist for the project 17967 ("Walden oder Leben in the Wäldern" by Henry David Thoreau) and submitted the files for the cover here: viewtopic.php?p=2229439#p2229439
This seems to have worked fine for the book as it is shown here: https://librivox.org/walden-oder-leben-in-den-waeldern-by-henry-david-thoreau/
and here: https://archive.org/details/walden_oder_leben_in_den_waeldern_2308_librivox
Unfortunately, though, the covers aren't visible in the Librivox App: https://librivox.app/de/book/17967
and they aren't shown in the Android app, either.
Is there a reason for this? Do I have to do anything else? Any help would be much appreciated.

This thread is fine to ask in.
We don't have any control of 3rd party apps and sites. (Although the app is called LibriVox, we don't have anything to do with it any more than any other app out there - they use our cataloged works, and that's it.)
About all I can suggest is contacting the app developers. My best guess is that they "took" the project when it was cataloged but the cover not yet there, and they haven't "refreshed" it since. But I am not knowledgeable of their processes, so that could be totally wrong.

As Tricia says - we have no control over if the image is used outside of the links you gave or how it is used.
In future, if you have the image ready as soon as the project is catalogued there is more chance that outsiders will harvest it.

When I search for Walden on the Librivox Audiobook App for ioS, paid version, this project doesn't even come up.MarcusChristopher wrote: ↑September 13th, 2023, 7:25 am I'm not sure, if this is the right thread to post a question like that, so if it happens to be the wrong one, I would be happy, if someone could point me to the correct thread.

You can click on the app's Settings gear, click Comments and Suggestions, and send them an email describing your issue. It sometimes takes them a few weeks to get back to you, but they do. Be sure you are signed into your account first so there is a record of the communication, and your settings and bookmarks are all saved. Please let me know how it goes.

You can chase them if you want to - but as IA has been very slow over the last week or so it is quite possible that it will take the apps longer to get the files from IA so it would maybe politer to wait.?

To whom so ever it may concern,
These are the files of the cleaned up logo (in svg format) & Desktop Wallpapers --> https://librivox.org/uploads/xx-nonproject/Backgrounds_Marks.zip
Please take a look
I also made some Desktop wallpapers in 3D, I'll be making more soon, there are four variants now for day and night

It appears that this project isn't on the claims board for some reason: https://librivox.org/eyes-and-no-eyes-and-other-stories-by-various/
Does someone want to claim it?

Hi Ashu, I have added your contributions to the wiki. Thank you!mrmrashu wrote: ↑September 16th, 2023, 3:00 am To whom so ever it may concern,

Check out https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Promotional_Material under "Computer Wallpaper", and your svg file is included as "Scalable Vector Graphic (no border)" to differentiate it with the previous one that has a white border.
Are you a person of few words? Then the play Cyrano de Bergerac is for you! Small parts of few lines still remaining to complete this project.
Just reporting that the thumbnail cover for The Outdoor Girls at Bluff Point doesn't seem to be rendering in the Projects list.

Photoshop Users Alert!
It's always a challenge trying to create a square format cover from a vertical book cover. I've spent untold hours copying, pasting, stretching, cloning and every other workaround.
A recent Photoshop upgrade includes a godsend: Generative Fill.
Select the Crop Tool, set it to 1:1 ratio in the toolbar on the left, then change the fill option on the right from Default to Generative.
Select over your book cover and stretch until it snaps to square. Then you can move the image around under the selection until you get the part you want. There will be white background on the left and right, depending on where you place the image.
Then press Return - and the magic happens! In just a few seconds, PS creates additional background that matches the existing image seamlessly and fills in the white space! The results are nothing short of incredible.
I've used this on my last 3 or 4 covers with absolutely fantastic results.
(Shout out to Michelle Fry. Your demo at one of the Zoom meetings convinced me to ditch PS Elements and get the full version. I am happily paying the subscription.)

Oh please do give us a demo in an upcoming Zoom session! I accomplish this feat in Photoshop 6, which has a crop tool but I have no idea how to use it. BTW, our 1st Monday's Zoom sessions are perfect places for any of us to demo our techniques. Just PM me what you want to share and I'll put you on the docket.sjmarky wrote: ↑September 24th, 2023, 4:46 pm Photoshop Users Alert!
